What each one actually is

BambooHR

BambooHR is a cloud HRIS built for small and mid-sized businesses. It is the system of record for the whole employee lifecycle: a central employee database, time-off tracking, onboarding and offboarding, an applicant tracking system, reporting, and an AI assistant for HR questions. Performance management is available as a paid add-on (on its Pro plan), and it includes customizable review cycles, self and manager assessments, peer and upward feedback for 360s, goal tracking, and continuous check-ins (BambooHR).

In short, BambooHR runs HR. It tells you who works here, who is out next week, who is being onboarded, and (with the add-on) it runs the review cycle that asks managers to fill in their assessments.
